Player Guide | Supercraft

Welcome to Supercraft!

We're glad to have you here, and hope you enjoy your time! Supercraft is a relaxed, near-vanilla freebuild server with a permanent world, so you can come and go as time allows and your builds will still be here in years to come. If you're busy and need to step away, that's okay! We've been around for 13 years and we're not going anywhere anytime soon. The current world, sometimes called "Season 20" or "The Final Season" started in September 2022 and barring unforeseen disaster will be around well into the future.

Feel free to go out and find a place to settle down, or just explore! You can do more or less whatever you want here. If you're building near established builds, please respect existing land claims, or negotiate with the existing claimant. If they're not contactable, reach out on Discord or Stoat and we can chat. If you'd like to use them, there are two Freebuild Community Centers in Spawn City with free materials for you.

Rules

The rules on Supercraft are pretty simple. We used to have a full three-branch constitutional government, but things simplified after Season 19.

In Season 20, the rules are:

Land Claims

Generally, you can claim land you'd like for your builds, and a reasonable buffer if desired. To request a land claim be added to the map, contact Spikej555. Land claims are marked online at the Server GIS map, accessible at PlaySupercraft.com/dynmap.

Building New Builds

In most of the world, you can just build. The two exceptions are if someone else has already claimed that area, or if you're in one of the settlements using building permits.

First homes/bases do not require building permits anywhere on the server.

If you're building something other than your first home / first base in Absoluno, Spawn City, or Ayrith, you can apply for a building permit at permits.PlaySupercraft.com.

Getting Around

Throughout the world there are many roads, rails, and ice expressways. Feel free to use any and all of them.

World Spawn, Town Hall, and (eventually) a shopping district are (or will be) located here. Town Hall has a quick travel button to Old Spawn City in the meeting area, and a scoreboard controller in the attic.

Many of the older builds are here. These include a villager trading hall, two Freebuild Community Centers, an Iron Farm, a Zoo, and various other farms. Riverstone Castle and Glump (independent settlements) are also nearby.

Mod Guidelines

In the interest of keeping things light and practical, we don't have a list of every single allowed/disallowed mod. Here're the specifics and the principles though.

Supercraft has the Distant Horizons plugin, so the server will help generate LODs for you if you would like.
Mods that help you improve your game performance (Optifine, Sodium, Lithium, etc.), give you a minimap (JourneyMap, etc.), or let you see schematic holograms (Litematica, etc.) are fine to use.
X-Ray, fly hacks, and the like are disallowed.
